We design sexy Independent Living communities and co-ops that give seniors the lifestyle they seek and the access to convenient care that they may need. No two of our properties are alike – we study the locale in depth to create a totally unique design narrative. Our goal is for residents to say that their new state-of-the-art community feels like home but better.

ASSISTED LIVING

We always kick off a design project by asking our developer and operational partners about the programmatic goals they want to achieve for the community. Our approach is to always design for the resident who may need some assistance with their Activities of Daily Living but wants to thrive in a space that doesn’t remind them of their limitations.

MEMORY CARE

Our thoughtfully designed Memory Care communities make high acuity residents feel safe and comfortable in a familiar environment. We stay up to date on the latest industry research, taking extra care to specify durable materials that are easily cleanable. All of our Memory Care communities reinforce a strong “sense of place” for residents through our artwork and accessories choices.

SKILLED NURSING

We design for Skilled Nursing, too! Banko Design’s team understands that all design work must successfully coexist with the rigorous health standards needed to be met at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Care in this area is highly specialized so we go the extra mile to thoroughly design fluid, sanitary spaces that still feel warm and exciting but with your specific requirements in mind.

Schematic Design

Next, we draw up a schematic design to visualize concepts, discuss materials and provide a feel for your vision. This includes walking you through the space plan and crafting the community’s unique design palette.

Design Development

We finalize floor plans and ceiling design, coordinate your specifications and develop competitive, comprehensive budgets for your interiors.

Construction Drawings

We’re not decorators – we’re classically trained interior architects and designers. We flex our technical expertise and submit Revit models or ID CAD construction sets along with furniture, lighting and material specs.

Construction Administration

This is where we put our project management expertise to work. We confirm that construction matches design intent, review all submittals and help ensure a smooth project roll-out.

FF&E Procurement

Our FF&E team makes the process easy with appropriate selections for seniors. We take care of it all: purchasing, receiving, storing and installing the furniture, fixtures and finishes that make your community feel like home.

Here’s what we are: a full-service interior design firm that programs, designs, documents and implements all aspects of senior living interior design with full transparency and total responsiveness.
